Nebraska's Carhenge

Outside of Alliance, Nebraska, (population 5,000) six local families were holding a family reunion in 1987. They decided -- for some obscure reason -- to recreate the world famous Stonehenge Monument from old cars and/or car parts. They did. This is the result.

For visitors, there is a parking lot and paths, as well as an information kiosk. It's open year-round, 24 hours a day.
